چکیده
In the present study, a semi-analytical model based on small-amplitude wave theory is developed to describe fields around single gravity-type cylindrical open fish net cage. The cage may be submerged different depths below free-water surface. modelled as flexible porous membrane, and deflection of chamber expressed by transverse vibration equation strings. velocity potential expanded in form Fourier–Bessel series unknown coefficients these are determined from matching boundary conditions least squares method. number terms for solution used convergence studies. results exhibit significant hydroelastic characteristics cages, including distribution properties surface, pressure drop at interface, structural deflection, loading along height. addition, relationships between forces with hydrodynamic parameters also revealed. findings presented herein should useful engineers who designing systems.

investigating the feasibility of a proposed model for geometric design of deployable arch structures
deployable scissor type structures are composed of the so-called scissor-like elements (sles), which are connected to each other at an intermediate point through a pivotal connection and allow them to be folded into a compact bundle for storage or transport. several sles are connected to each other in order to form units with regular polygonal plan views. the sides and radii of the polygons are...
Semi-analytical Approach for Microstructured Optical Fibers Using a Model of Layered Cylindrical Arrays
A rigorous semi-analytical approach for specific microstructured optical fibers, which are formed by layered cylindrical arrays of circular rods symmetrically distributed on each of concentric circular rings, is presented for both of scalar-wave formulation and full-wave formulation. The method uses the T-matrix of a single circular rod, the reflection and transmission matrices for a cylindrica...

متن کاملA semi-analytical model for velocity profile at wind turbine wake using blade element momentum
The shape of wake behind a wind turbine is normally assumed to have a hat shape for the models used in wind farm layout optimization purposes; however, it is know from experimental tests and numerical simulations that this is not a real assumption. In reality, the results of actual measurements and detailed numerical simulation show that the velocity in wake region has a S-shape profile. Th...
متن کاملHydroelastic wave diffraction by a vertical cylinder.
A linear three-dimensional problem of hydroelastic wave diffraction by a bottom-mounted circular cylinder is analysed. The fluid is of finite depth and is covered by an ice sheet, which is clamped to the cylinder surface. The ice stretches from the cylinder to infinity in all lateral directions. The hydroelastic behaviour of the ice sheet is described by linear elastic plate theory, and the flu...
